Canada Exonerated of American Allegations of Manipulating Bobsleigh Olympic Selection Event
The Canadian skeleton team have been absolved of charges that they rigged a qualifying event for the upcoming Games, thereby denying competitors from other nations a spot to qualify.

US skeleton veteran Katie Uhlaender alleged the team from Canada of pulling four of its six entered athletes from a recent event in New York. She claimed this reduced the field, making fewer qualifying points available. Although she took first place, the American athlete failed to earn her qualifying position for the 2026 Olympics.
“Existing federation regulations allow member nations to withdraw athletes from competition at any time,” stated the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF).
