Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A representative for the publisher stated: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was reached following an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.
The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
